The Ideology of Hashomer Hatzair North America is based on Socialist- Zionism. Hagshama refers to the method or framework by or within which members of Hashomer Hatzair North America actualize (make real) the ideology of Socialist - Zionsim.
A Magshim/a (someone who fulfills our ideology in her/his life) is a member of the movement who engages in both Tikkun Adam (living internally) and Tikkun Olam (acting externally) of both Socialism and Zionism in some form.
The following is the definition of the most complete form of Hagshama for Hashomer Hatzair: Living as a socialist kvutza (revolutionary collective), defined by its intimacy and its internal and external struggle for social and economic justice, in Israel with a connection to the Diaspora, while promoting Jewish peoplehood and the ultimate goal of improving the world based on the above principles.
